I can hardly remember the first fanfic I ever read but I do remember it was yaoi and I kind of ranted on twitter about it because like any ‘pure and innocent’ fangirl, I couldn’t understand why fans would want to write about their biases doing chitty-chitty-bang-bang (yes, I use Hyori’s song as a long-ass substitute for the three letter word ‘sex’ because I think it’s overused :P). Then it took me awhile before I read fanfics again.
Years later (and a bit of research on the phenomenon called boyxboy/yaoi/slash fics) I tried reading fanfics again and voila, there are actually stories that don’t necessarily include guys impaling each other with sex toys and stuff…
Anyways going forward, I’ve had my share of poorly written stories and those that really make you go O_O (and not in a good way, I tell you) and since the worldwideweb is in no way small it’s very fulfilling to find something that just really WOWs you and this time in a really good way.
